Adorable Adoptables

Adorable Adoptables is a heart-led engagement designed to celebrate senior cats, long-term residents, and kitties that have a harder time finding homes by giving them extra visibility, storytelling space, and love.
This is not a popularity contest, it’s a joyful celebration of cats who deserve to be seen, appreciated, and remembered.

Fallen for one of these sweet souls? Each cat is cared for by a local rescue, please contact them directly for more details, adoption inquiries, or to learn more about their story.

If you have a cat you would like us to feature, please email events@meowmaniaexpo.com. We only accept requests from non-profit/charitable organizations.

Wednesday

Birthday: April 2, 2024 - Domestic Short Hair Female with Manitoba Mutts

I’m an easy going, good girl who loves people. I’m chatty when I’m hungry and LOVE getting butt scratches. I am really good with other cats, older children and even a cat savvy dog! I am fully litter trained and use my scratching post. I am currently living with other cats, and we get along great!

I am a happy cat who loves toys, cuddles, being brushed and nap time!

Is there room for me in your family? I sure hope so!

Apply now! Xoxo, Wednesday

I am a Manitoba Mutt Super Trooper, see my link:

Milo

Birthday: March 1st, 2021 - Domestic Short Hair Male with MB Great Pyrenees Rescue

Handsome and affectionate Milo came to Manitoba Great Pyrenees Rescue in the first week of August as an owner surrender. His family was moving and they were not able to take their cats. The minute his rescuers saw him, he ran up and began brushing up on them and purring! We had to keep him separated from the cat and kittens he came in with as he was quite stressed. His friends were adopted quite quickly, but sweet Milo has remained in foster care since August 2025.

Milo is a neutered DSH male, who just celebrated his 5th birthday this past March. With the most striking blue eyes, Milo will look at you and you cannot help but melt! His creamy fur is so soft and he loves to be pet and stroked. He prefers affection on his own terms and politely refuses lap cuddles. He loves to play and a fast-moving wormie is his toy of choice!

Milo is missing a tooth and every now and then his lip catches and he gives us the cutest Elvis smile!

Milo is a special boy who deserves a home of his very own!

Max

Birthday: September 2023 - Medium Hair Siamese Cross Seal Point with Rescue Siamese

At first glance, it’s obvious that Max is ridiculously handsome…but he’s much more than just good looks!

Max is a thoughtful observer, who mostly prefers keeping to himself rather than interacting with other cats. He doesn’t like having his peaceful zen moments interrupted by other cats getting into his personal bubble! Often when folks come by the shelter to meet the adoptable cats, Max hangs back to check things out from his hammock while the more extroverted cats stroll on up to work their “adopt me” magic, and unfortunately this means he gets outshined quite a lot. His lack of enthusiasm to come out and meet new people can be mistaken for unfriendliness, but our volunteers know better! Max needs to get to know you a little before he lets his guard down, but once he feels comfortable with you he enjoys pets and scratches (he’ll let you know when he’s had enough!) At only 2.5 years old, he really is just a big floofy kitten when it comes to playtime - he absolutely loves to chase a teaser stick toy or leap after a toy spring to burn off some energy! Whoever gives Max the time he needs to just hang out close by, observe and find his groove will be rewarded with a smart and fun best pal for life

Popcorn

Birthday: June 2022 - Short Hair Siamese Cross Lynx Point Male with Rescue Siamese

Popcorn is a very special cat who has been waiting a long time for his perfect home! He has been with us at Rescue Siamese since Summer of 2022, when he arrived at his foster home as a tiny, scared, semi-feral kitten. With the help of his awesome foster, Popcorn started to build some confidence and become less fearful of co-existing with people. He moved into our shelter location where he very slowly started to trust our volunteers. With lots of encouragement and some tasty treats, he eventually felt comfortable sitting close by - but still darted away in a flash if there were any sudden movements or sounds. Due to some shelter renovations, Popcorn spent another brief period of time in foster and during this little “vacation” of sorts he really turned a corner! Upon his return to the shelter he pleasantly surprised us by approaching volunteers and visitors to seek out pets, even rolling on his back and vocalizing his requests for attention. Though he is still wary of quick movements and probably won’t ever be a cuddly lap cat, he has made such huge improvements and we couldn’t be more proud of him! His sweet, playful personality really shines through when he’s around people he’s comfortable with, and our volunteers all love him dearly.

Though he has had a lot of fun making friends and playing with other cats in the shelter, for the past 4 years he has sadly watched every single one of his pals come and go. Unfortunately due to his cautious nature and the fact that he eats special food to prevent urinary issues (and sometimes misses the litter box when he’s stressed) he is often overlooked or ignored by potential adopters. He just needs someone with a heart full of love who will be patient and encouraging while he settles in, and we know that when that person comes along the wait will have been totally worth it. We’ll keep giving him all of our love in the meantime.
