  • Assiniboia Downs - 3975 Portage Ave, and we’re taking over the 1st and 3rd floor of the venue.

    If you have a VIP Purrk Pass, entry starts at 10am. For General Admission, entry starts at 11am.

    The event ends at 4pm.

  • No, swag is no longer free for early attendees.

    This year, swag is included only with the VIP Purrk Pass, which also comes with early access to shop one hour before the event opens to the public.

    We’re hoping in the future we can secure enough sponsorships and donations to provide free swag again for early attendees.

  • Yes, there is ample free parking in the lot. We also offer a free Winnipeg transit shuttle ride that starts downtown at 10:30am on the day of the event.

  • Yes, the venue entrance and main floor is easily accessible. The venue also has escalators to the 3rd floor, and the service elevator will also be fully staffed for those that need.

  • Early bird tickets will be going on sale in July and you can get them online from our website. All ticket holders have access to the entire event. VIP Purrk Pass tickets will be available that includes an expedited line, limited edition tote, swag, and early access at 10am.

  • Yes! The best deal will happen during our early bird sale. During the final hour of the event, we will also offer half-price tickets.

    Children under 12 are free.

  • Only the VIP Purrk Pass and children under 12 will be permitted early entry between 10am 11am.

    As soon as general admission begins, other tickets are welcome in the VIP line if tickets were purchased together.

  • Yes! It’s always busiest first thing and can get a little crowded.

    If you’re wanting to come during a slower time we’d recommend the mid-late afternoon, or the VIP Purrk Pass for early entry.

  • Yes! Well socialized cats are welcome to attend. They should be on leash and/or in a carrier/stroller, healthy and up to date on vaccines. Tickets are not required for cats.

    What does “well-socialized” mean? Your cat is comfortable and happy in new environments, around new people and crowds. Please do NOT bring your cat if they are not well socialized.

  • This will vary based on each individual rescues policy. If they do permit on site adoptions, please ensure you have a carrier with you.

  • Meow Mania Expo is a semi-annual event! We host one in the spring, and another in the fall.

  • Some vendors will be equipped wth debit/credit/eft, some will take cash. There are atm’s on site if needed.

  • Yes! Food trucks will be available on site just outside the lobby doors, and guests will be welcome to sit to eat in the Loaf Lounge.

  • Yes, there will be seating section available on both floors of the event.

  • Yes! We’ll have a small, carefully curated group of Certified Ethical Breeders and Feline Breed Specialists at Meow Mania. This is an educational experience designed to help you learn about different breeds beyond just their looks, including their personalities, quirks, and what proper, responsible care really involves.

    Our goal is to connect you with trusted experts who prioritize thoughtful, ethical breeding practices, so you can ask questions, gain insight, and better understand what makes each breed truly special, all in a pawsitive, pressure-free environment.

  • Yes! We’re always looking for volunteers to add to our team. If you’re interested please reach out to events@meowmaniaexpo.com

  • No pre registration required! Just stop by the stage 15 minutes prior (we’ll announce) to sign up. Outfits should always be cat-safe, comfortable, and stress-free.

    For our shy, but stylish kitties that are unable to attend in person, we’ll be hosting an online best dressed a few weeks prior to the event on our Facebook page. Make sure you follow up on social media or subscribe to our newsletter for information when it’s ready.

  • We’ll know more as the event gets closer and we finalize our plans.

  • No. To keep Meow Mania a calm, cat-friendly and safe environment, dogs of any size won’t be permitted inside the venue. Certified working service dogs are, of course, welcome.
